Composition:
1 ml of the preparation contains the active substance:
Gentamicin sulfate – 10 mg.
Pharmacological properties:
Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that acts bactericidally on some gram-positive and most gram-negative bacteria, including: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida and mycoplasma.
Gentamicin shows antimicrobial action by inhibiting protein synthesis in ribosomes of microorganisms.
Application:
Treatment of acute and chronic ear diseases (otitis, eczema and dermatitis) and infected ear wounds in dogs, cats, rabbits and decorative rodents.
Dosage:
The drug is buried 2-5 drops in the sick ear 2 times a day.
The course of treatment is 3-7 days depending on the course of the disease.
It is recommended to treat the second ear of the sick animal at the same time.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to gentamicin.
Do not use if the eardrum is damaged.
Cautions:
Gentamicin must not be mixed with heparin, B vitamins, penicillins, cephalosporins, erythromycin, sulfonamides.
