Composition:

the active ingredient:
Ceftiofur hydrochloride – 50 mg.
Pharmacological properties:
The active ingredient of the preparation is cephthiofur hydrochloride, which belongs to the group of III generation cephalosporinic antibiotics and is characterized by a wide range of antibacterial action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (including strains producing beta-lactamase), as well as against some anaerobes: Escherichia coli, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus somnus, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilus parasuis, Salmonella cholerasuis, Streptococcus suis, Streptococcus zooepidemicus, Pasteurella spp, Actynomyces pyogenes, Salmonella typhimurium, Streptococcus agalactiae, S. dysgalactiae, S. bovis, Klebsiella spp. The mechanism of action of ceftiofur hydrochloride consists in inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell wall.
Application:
Cattle: treatment of respiratory diseases (pneumonia, bronchopneumonia), postpartum endometritis, mastitis, necrobacteriosis, arthritis, sepsis and other, including associated, bacterial infections caused by cephtiofuru-sensitive microorganisms.
Pigs: treatment of respiratory diseases and other infections, including associated infections caused by ceftiofuru-sensitive microorganisms.
Dosage:
Cattle: Dose subcutaneous to 1 ml per 110lb (50kg) body weight (1 mg cephthyofur hydrochloride per 2.2lb (1kg) body weight) once a day. The course of treatment is: for respiratory diseases – 3-5 days, for necrobacteriosis – 3 days, for endometritis – 5 days.
Pigs: intramuscularly once a day in a dose of 1 ml per 35lb (16kg) body weight (3 mg cephthyofur hydrochloride per 2.2lb (1kg) body weight) for 3-4 days.
Before use, the vial with the drug is shaken thoroughly.
Contraindications:
Do not use animals with hypersensitivity to ceftiofur or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Do not mix with other drugs in the same syringe.
Cautions:
The slaughter of animals for meat is allowed after 8 (cattle) and 5 days (pigs) after the last application of the preparation. The meat received before this date is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the opinion of the veterinary surgeon.
Milk from cows during and after treatment is used without restrictions.
Storage:
Dry, dark, inaccessible for children at temperatures ranging from 40-77F (5 ° C to 25 ° C).
Shelf life – 2 years from the date of manufacture.
After the first selection from the bottle the drug should be used within 28 days.
