Description :
Powder of light yellow color, dissolves in water.
Readings :
Treatment of young and adult poultry (broiler chickens, repair youngsters, turkeys, ducks, geese) in case of gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases, bacterial complications, viral infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline and tilozine.
Pharmacological properties :
Tylosine is an antibiotic of macrolide group, binds to 50S ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis. It is active against Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Listeria, Erysipelothrix spp.., some strains of Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Actinomyces spp., Mycoplasma spp., Chlamydia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Rickettsia spp.
Oxytetracycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic that acts on bacterial ribosomes, inhibiting protein synthesis. It has a wide range of effects on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Campylobacter spp., E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp., spirochetes, rickettsia, many strains of mycoplasma, chlamydia and some protozoa.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant, increases the body’s resistance to infections, accelerates metabolism.
When used orally :
Oxytetracycline is quickly absorbed. After 30 minutes, its concentration in serum is almost 60% of the therapeutic, the maximum concentration in serum is reached after 2-3 hours. Oxytetracycline is almost not metabolized in the body, about 60% is excreted with urine in unchanged form, the rest – with bile.
Tylosine is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, creating bacteriostatic levels in blood and tissues. Metabolized mainly in the liver, it is excreted mainly with urine and bile.
How to use and doses :
The drug is used orally with drinking water or food.Dose of the drug when used with water is 1 gram per 1 liter of water, when used with feed – 2 grams per 2.2lb (1 kg) of feed, the course – 3-5 days.
Cautions :
After the last application of the drug poultry slaughter for meat is allowed in 15 days. Meat obtained earlier than this period is disposed or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.
Contraindications :
Do not prescribe to animals with hypersensitivity to tilozine and oxytetracycline, laying hens, whose eggs are eaten by humans. Do not use simultaneously with cephalosporins, penicillin, erythromycin and sulfonamides.
Storage conditions :
In a dry, dark, inaccessible for children place at temperatures between 40-77F (+4 to +25 ° C).
