Composition:
1 gram of
the drug contains:
Amoxicillin trigidrate – 100 mg.
The drug is effective for animals with diseases:
– of the gastrointestinal tract;
– respiratory organs;
– urogenital system
Pharmacological properties:
Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic from the penicillin group.
It has a wide range of bactericidal action against gram-positive (Actinomyces spp., Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus spp.., Streptococcus spp.) and gram-negative microorganisms (Actinobacillus spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, E. coli, Salmonella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., Pasteurella spp., Proteus mirabilis).
The drug does not affect penicillinazo-forming strains of microorganisms from Klebsiella and Enterobacter genera, as well as Pseudomonas.
Amoxicillin inhibits the synthesis of the bacterial cell septum, inhibiting enzymes of transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase and causing osmotic balance disorder, which leads to the death of the bacteria at the growth stage. The oily filler, which is part of the preparation, gradually releases micronized amoxicillin into the blood, thus providing a long-term antibiotic action.
Amoxicillin is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is quickly distributed in all organs and tissues of the body.
It is secreted from the body mainly in urine and, to a lesser extent, bile.
Doses and method of application:
Young cattle: the preparation is given with milk or return in a dose of 0.1-0.2 grams / 2.2lb (1 kg) of animal weight twice a day for 3-5 days.
Pigs of 0.1-0.2 grams / 2.2lb (1 kg) weight twice a day for 3-5 days.
Dogs and cats are given the preparation inside in a dose of 0.1-0.2 grams / 2,2lb (1kg) of animal weight, mixed with drinking water, milk or minced meat, two times a day before recovery, but no more than seven days. This solution should be prepared on the basis of consumption per day.
Poultry aged up to 10 days have prescribed a dose of 100.0 grams per 400.0 liters of water,
A bird older than 10 days has prescribed a dose of 100.0 g to 200.0 liters of water (250-300 mg / (2.2lb 1kg) of body weight) for 3-5 days.
Application of the preparation to rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters are contraindicated. It is not allowed to use the drug together with tetracyclines, levomycetin, sulfonamides. The drug is prohibited for use by birds whose eggs are used as food for people.
In recommended doses, the drug does not cause side effects, but in animals with hypersensitivity to β-lactant antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins) various allergic reactions, including anaphylactic shock, are possible.
In the case of allergic or other adverse reactions, the drug should be canceled, antihistamines (dimedrol) and calcium (calcium gluconate, borgluconate or chloride) should be administered.
Warnings:
Slaughter of pigs for meat is allowed not earlier than eight days, poultry – two days, calves – seven days after the last application of the drug. In the case of the forced slaughter of animals earlier than this date, meat is used for feeding carnivorous animals.
