Description

2 packs = 15ml + 15ml = 30ml

Oral suspension is light yellow or dark yellow in color.

Composition :

1 ml of the drug contains:

triamcinolone – 1 mg

methionine – 50 mg

succinic acid – 2 mg

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) – 5 mg

Vitamin B3 (PP, nicotinamide) – 10 mg

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) – 3 mg

Pharmacological properties :

Triamcinolone is a synthetic fluorine-containing glucocorticoid with pronounced anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, desensitizing and antitoxic action.

Anti-inflammatory properties are due to stabilization of cell membranes, including labrocytes and organelles (lysosomes), inhibition of phospholipase A2 activity, cessation of release of arachidonic acid from phospholipids of cell membranes and reduction of its metabolic products. It suppresses hyaluronidase, inhibits labrocyte division and reduces their degranulation, inhibits platelet activation factor synthesis and connective tissue proliferation. Due to the reduction of the number of T- and B-lymphocytes, the disturbance of their interaction, the stopping of the migration of B-lymphocytes provides immunosuppressive and anti-allergic effect. It decreases the content of immunoglobulins in blood serum, inhibits the cooperation of phagocytes and lymphocytes. Anti-shock and anti-toxic effect is based on reduction of vascular endothelium permeability, membrane-protective properties and activation of liver enzymes involved in metabolism of endo- and xenobiotics.

Bioavailability of triamcinolone after oral administration is 20-30%. The action begins after 1-2 hours and lasts for 6-8 hours. The elimination half-life from serum is 2-5 hours, from tissues – 18-36 hours. Triamcinolone is 40% bound to blood plasma proteins, mainly to globulins. It is metabolized in the liver, and a small amount is metabolized in the kidneys. It is excreted mainly with urine as inactive metabolites.

Methionine is an essential amino acid, a source of sulfhydryl and methyl groups, has a lipotropic effect (prevents fat accumulation in the liver with a lack of choline, which is involved in the synthesis of phospholipids). Deactivates toxic products of metabolism through methylation and transsulfurization.

Amber acid accelerates regeneration of damaged skin cells, stimulates and normalizes energy and plastic metabolism, has antitoxic effect, enhances biochemical and physiological restoration processes in epidermis and eliminates metabolic acidosis in tissues.

B vitamins play an important role in the metabolism of substances involved in cellular redox reactions of amino acids. These vitamins greatly improve the condition of the skin, especially in seborrheic dermatitis and pellagra. They are easily absorbed in the small intestine and excreted in the urine as various metabolites.

 

Indications :

Treatment of dogs and cats with inflammatory, allergic, autoimmune and other diseases of the skin and joints.

 

Method of administration and dosage :

Before use, the vial with the drug is shaken thoroughly and applied orally once a day, during the morning feeding with a small amount of food, or injected directly onto the root of the tongue using a syringe-dispenser. Doses of the drug for the treatment of animals in the first 4 days are shown in the table.

For treatment in the next 8 days, the dose is halved. After agreement with the veterinarian, the course of treatment can be extended.

 

Cautions :

When using the drug in the recommended doses, side effects and complications are not observed. Occasionally, vomiting, depression, excessive salivation, gastrointestinal disorders are possible in some animals. In these cases, the use of the drug should be discontinued.

 

Contraindications :

Do not prescribe for animals sensitive to the active ingredients of the drug, with systemic fungal lesions, acute infectious diseases, diabetes, pregnant and lactating animals, kittens under 2 months of age, puppies under 3 months.

Do not use during vaccination periods, especially with live antiviral vaccines and simultaneously with other glucocorticoids.

 

Storage Conditions :

Store in a dark, dry place out of the reach of children, at temperatures between 40-77 F (+4 to +25 ° C).

After opening the bottle the drug is to be used within 28 days.

Shelf life is – 2 years.
