Medicinal form of veterinary product: a solution for Oral use.
The active ingredient in
1 ml contains
Toltrazuril – 50 mg;
Baycox 5% Oral are prescribed to Rabbits. Piglets and Young Cattle up to 9 months of age with therapeuticand therapeutic purpose in case of coccidiosis.
In order to achieve the maximum preventive effectand reduce the number of Oocysts – a stage of development of the simplest cells released into the external environment, in unfavorable coccidiotic farms,the drug should be administered to animals before the first clinical signs of the disease appear in the herd.
Pharmacological action:
Bycox 5% Oral is assigned to Piglets and Young Cattle,Rabbits.Baycox 5% .
Oral is an anticoccidial drug of the triazintrion group.
Toltrazuril, which is part of the drug, has a wide range of anticococcidal action,is effective against Isospora suis, Eimeria arloingi, Eimeria scabra, Eimeria guevarai,
Eimeria bovis, Eimeria zuernii, Eimeria alabamensis
and other types of coccidia parasitizing in pigs and cattle
at the stages of their intracellular development.
By blocking respiratory enzymes,tetrazuril has a damaging effect on mitochondria and the processes of coccidia nucleus fission,disrupting the formation of macrohammetocytes.
After oral administration of Baycox 5% tetrazuril is slowly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and has a coccidative effect on mucosa and submucosa.
It is partially metabolized in the body by sulpho-oxidation and hydroxylation,with the formation of sulfide and sulfon derivatives.
Tottrasuryl is derived from the body mainly in unchanged form (70%),but also as metabolites with faeces and partially with urine.
Dose:
Pigs on day 3-5 of life in a dose of 20 mg toltrazuryl per 2.2lb (1 kg) animal weight,at the rate of 0.4 ml of suspension per 2.2lb (1 kg) weight,
but not less than 0.5 ml and not more than 2 ml per animal.
One time, oral.
Cattle from 2 weeks of age in a dose of 15 mg toltrazuril per 2.2lb (1 kg) of animal weight,at the rate of 3 ml of suspension per 22lb (10 kg) of animal weight.
One time, oral.
Rabbits – suspension of the drug is not diluted, and feed the rabbits in the form in which the drug is in a bottle.In this case, the dose is calculated based on the body weight of the rabbit 0.2 ml per 2.2 lb (1 kg) body weight.

Specific instructions:
It is forbidden to use Baycox 5% for dairy Cattle due to its excretion with milk;the drug should not be used for ruminants with developed scarred digestion.
Rabbits can be scored on meat no sooner than 77 days after the last day of prevention or treatment.
The slaughter of Pigs for meat is allowed no sooner than 91 days after application of Baycox 5%.
The meat of animals involuntarily killed earlier may be used to produce meat and bone meal.
Storage:
Store the medicine in a tightly closed vial, out of sunlight.The place of storage should be dry, the temperature in
the storage should be in the range from 32-77F ( 0 to +25 ° C).
In unpacked condition,the drug is suitable for 3 years from the date of manufacture .
