Odorless grey to brownish-yellow powder
Composition:
1 gram of the preparation contains active substances:
Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 22.5mg;
Neomycin sulfate 30.0mg.
Pharmacological properties:
A complex preparation of a wide range of bactericidal and bacteriostatic action.
Oxytetracycline hydrochloride – bacteriostatic antibiotic.
The drug has a wide range of action with respect to Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, namely: Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Brucella spp., Haemophilus spp., E. coli, Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Fusobacterium spp.., Salmonella spp. and the protozoa, mycoplasma spp., rickettsia spp. and chlamydia.
Neomycin sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that acts as a bactericidal agent against aerobic bacteria, effective against Gram-positive and certain Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Shigella, Enterobacteriae, Staphylococcus spp.) and Chlamydia.
Application:
Treatment of animals (calves from 4 to 8 weeks old, (lambs, goats up to 4 months old, poultry (chickens), as well as dogs and cats) with gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline and neomycin.
Dosage:
Oral with feed twice a day in doses:
calves, goats,pigs, lambs – 1-2 grams of the preparation per 55lb (25 kg) body weight for 5-7 days;
chickens – 2.2lb (1 kg) of the preparation for 2200lb (1000 kg) of food for 5-7 days;
dogs and cats – 0.1-0.2 grams of the preparation for 2.2lb (1 kg) body weight for 5-7 days.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, as well as in diseases of the liver and kidneys.
Do not use ruminants with functionally developed pancreas.
Do not use chicken laying hens, eggs which are used for human nutrition.
Cautions:
Before use, the drug is thoroughly mixed with feed. Cooking of the mixture of feed and the drug is not allowed.
It is allowed to kill animals (calves, goats, lambs) and poultry (chickens) for meat 6 days after the last application of the preparation. The meat received before the specified period is disposed of or fed to non-productive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinary medicine doctor.
Do not use simultaneously with penicillins, canamycin, cephalosporins, streptomycin, dihydrostreptomycin.
Storage:
Dry, dark, inaccessible for children at temperatures between 40-77F (5 ° C to 20 ° C).
Do not store together with food, beverages and animal feed.
Shelf life – 2 years from the date of manufacture.
