Description
Transparent liquid from light yellow to yellow.
Composition:
1 ml of the preparation contains
the active ingredient:
Tiamulin hydrogen fumarat – 123 mg.
Pharmacological properties:
Tiamulin is a semi-synthetic derivative of the plevromutilin antibiotic, a bacteriostatic effect caused by the binding of thiamulin at the molecular level with the structures of bacterial ribosomes, which suppresses protein synthesis in their cells. The drug is active against mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma synoviae, M. gallisepticum, M. meleagridis, M. hyopneumoniae, M. hyosynoviae) and spirochaetes (Serpulina hyodysenteriae), a number of Leptospira spp. serotypes, As well as the most common bacterial respiratory and digestive infections caused by Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp, Clostridium perfringens, Listeria monocytogenes, Erysipelothrix spp., Actinomyces pyogenes, Vastegoisev spp., Fusobacterium necrophorum, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella spp., Campylobacter coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae.
After administration, tiamulin is absorbed into the bloodstream and penetrates most of the animal’s organs and tissues, reaching its maximum concentration after 1.5-2 hours, and is excreted mainly with bile and partially with urine.
Application:
Treatment of pigs and cattle for respiratory tract infections, dysentery, pasteurellosis, enzootic pneumonia, arthritis caused by tiamulin-sensitive microorganisms.
Dosage:
Intramuscularly once a day in doses:
cattle – 1 ml of the preparation for 22 lb (10 kg) body weight of the animal within 3-5 days;
pigs – in case of enzootic pneumonia and mycoplasmosis arthritis – 1.5 ml of the preparation for 27.5 lb (12.5 kg) body weight within 3 days, in case of dysentery – 1 ml of the preparation for 27.5 lb (12.5 kg) body weight within 3 days.
Do not inject the preparation into one injection site for cattle – more than 20 ml, for adult pigs and calves – 5 ml, for pigs – 2.5 ml.
Heat the preparation up to 85F (30 ° C) before use.
