Oily suspension from light yellow to yellow with a specific smell.

 

Composition:

1 ml contains active ingredients :

Tetracycline hydrochloride – 200mg;

Neomycin sulfate – 250mg;

Bacitracin – 2000 IU;

Prednisolone – 10mg.

 

 

Pharmacological properties:

Mastilong forte is a combined antimicrobial agent containing tetracycline hydrochloride, neomycin sulfate, bacitracin and prednisolone. The drug is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms – the pathogens of mastitis.

Tetracycline hydrochloride has a bacteriostatic effect on Streptococcus uberis, Staphylococcus aureus, E.coli, Klebsiella spp.

Neomycin sulfate is an antibiotic belonging to the aminoglycosidic group that has a bactericidal effect on Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus, E.coli, Klebsiella spp., Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus spp.).

Bacitracin is a bactericidal antibiotic acting on Gram-positive and certain Gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus pyogenes).

Prednisolone is a corticosteroid hormone that is anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, desensitizing, anti-exudative and anti-edematous.

 

 

Application:

Treatment of clinical and subclinical forms of mastitis of bacterial etiology in cows caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug components during lactation.

 

 

Dosage:

Intracisternal.

Before administration of the drug, the affected udder portion is thoroughly passed and aseptic milking treatment is performed.

Preheated to 95-98F (35-37 ° C) and shaken until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, the drug is slowly injected into the milk canal directly from the syringe-tube or using a milk catheter and syringe in a dose of 10 ml. After insertion, a gentle udder fraction massage is performed from the bottom to the top. Repeated injections are performed after evening milking of cows daily for 2-3 days.

 

 

Contraindications:

Do not use in dry periods.

Do not use animals with hypersensitivity to active substances of the drug.

 

 

Cautions:

Milk consumption for human nutrition is permitted 8 times after the last administration of the drug. Milk obtained before this date is fed to unproductive animals or disposed of (depending on the opinion of the veterinarian).

The slaughter of animals for meat is permitted 14 days after the last administration of the preparation.

 

 

Storage:

Dry, dark, inaccessible to children at temperatures ranging from 35-45F (2 ° C to 8 ° C).
