Description
50ml + 50ml = 100ml
White emulsion without odor and taste.
Composition:
1 ml of the preparation contains
active ingredients:
Rafoxanide – 110 mg;
Fenbendazole – 75 mg;
levamisole hydrochloride – 3 mg;
Pharmacological action:
Lerafen is an antihelminthic preparation of a wide range of actions, which includes active ingredients rafoksanid, fenbendazole and levomisoluhydrochloride.
The mechanism of action of rafoxanide is to suppress the processes of oxidative mitochondrial phosphorylation and synthesis of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), change the energy balance of parasites, which leads to the death of helminthes.
Fenbendazole inhibits the enzyme system of helminths, which also leads to the disruption of energy metabolism and causes the death of parasites.
The mechanism of action of levamisole hydrochloride is associated with its effect on the nervous-muscular system and suppression of the activity of parasite enzymes, which leads to paralysis and death of helminths.
Lerafen is effective against sexually mature trematode of the Paramphistomatidae family and their larvae (older than 6 weeks). The drug is also active against sexually mature trematodes of the species Fasciola hepatica and Dicrocelium lanceatum; gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes (Bunostomum spp., Capillaria spp., Chabertiaspp., Sooregia spp., Dictyocaulidae spp., Gaigeria spp., Haemonchus spp, Nematodirus spp., Oesophagostomumspp., Ostertagia spp., Protostrondylus spp., Strongyloidesspp, Trichuris spp. and the like); individual species of cestode (Avitellina sentrripumctata, Moniezia echrapena, Moniezia benedebia, Thysaniezia giardia) and larvae of Oestrus ovis.
Application:
For the deworming of cattle, sheep and goats in trematodes (paramphystomatosis, microgliosis, fasciole), nematodes of the intestinal canal and lungs, as well as in cystinosis caused by certain species of cestodes.
Dosage:
Deworming is carried out once before the morning feeding begins.
The drug is administered internally with warm water 77-85F (25-30 ° C) with a bottle or in the form of a mixture of 3.30-4.40 lb (1.5 – 2 kg)
of wet fodder in the following doses:
– for cattle at
Dicroceliosis and fasciole – 0.75 ml for every 22lb (10 kg) body weight,
Paramphystomatosis and nematodes – 1 ml for every 22 lb (10 kg) of body weight;
– for small ruminants (sheep, goats) in
associated helminthiasis and estrose – 0.75 ml for every 22 lb (10 kg) of body weight.
Contraindications:
Do not use for dry cows and newly calved cows, for animals with clinical signs of digestive disorders (atony of pre-stomachs, stamping), exhaustion and infectious diseases. Do not use simultaneously with bromosalaneflukicides.
Warning:
Before mass deworming, each Leraphen series is tested on several animals that are monitored during the day.
The slaughter of animals for meat is allowed only after 28 days, and the consumption of milk for human nutrition – 7 days after the last application of the drug.
Storage:
In a dry, dark place at temperatures ranging from 40-77F (5°C to 25°C).
Shelf life – 3 years from the date of manufacture.
