Description

Homogeneous emulsion of light yellow colour without a pronounced odour and taste.

Composition:

1 ml of the preparation contains

active ingredients:

Oxyclozanide – 95 mg;

Pirantela pamoate – 200 mg;

 

 

Pharmacological properties:

The combination of two active substances, oxyclosanide and pamoate pyrantel, provides a universally wide range of antihelminthic action against the main trematode and nematode pathogens that parasitize in cattle, sheep and goats.

Oxyclosanide is a synthetic compound from salicylanilide group, whose specific action causes inhibition and stopping of oxidative phosphorylation process in trematodes, changes energy metabolism of parasites and causes their death. Oxyclosanide is a highly effective antihelminthic agent, active against larvae over two months of age and mature trematodes (Fasciola hepatica, Dicrocoelium lanceatum, Paramphistomum ichikawai, Liorchis scotiae).

Pirantela pamoate is a synthetic compound from the group of pyrimidines, the specific action of which causes depolarized neuromuscular blockade in nematodes, and due to paralysis of helminth muscles, they are removed from the intestine by peristalsis. Pirantela pamoate is effective mainly in relation to larvae and sex-mature nematodes parasitizing in gastrointestinal tract (Neoascaris vitulorum, Bunostomum trigonocephalum, Trichostrongylus columbriformis, T. axei, Trichuris skrjabini, T. ovis, Chabertia).

 

 

Application:

The preparation is used for cattle, sheep and goats in helminths caused by species of trematodes and nematodes sensitive to the components of this product.

Therapeutic and prophylactic treatments of cattle are carried out after placing them on the stall and in the spring, before the pasture, and therapeutic – in the presence of indications. Lactic cows are given the drug after morning milking. Due to the fact that the active substances of the drug are removed with milk in very small amounts (less than 0.1%), the product is allowed to use for deworming lactation cows.

 

 

Dosage:

Cattle – 1 ml per 22lb (10 kg) body weight once with water.

In case of intensive infestation with paraamphystomatosis agents a certain individual dose is increased by 25%.

Sheep and goats – 1.5 ml per 22lb (10 kg) body weight.

 

 

 

Cautions:

Do not use exhausted animals:

After cattle deworming with the preparation, meat is not suitable for food purposes for 14 days, milk – the next two milking. Milk obtained during the first two milking sessions after application of the preparation is sold out to non-productive animals.

In case of forced slaughter before the established term the meat is used for feeding carnivorous animals or for making meat and bone meal.

 

 

Storage:

Dry, light protected area at temperatures between 0 °C and 25 °C.

Shelf life -2 years, from the date of manufacture.
