Description
Colorless or yellowish liquid.
Composition:
100 ml of the preparation contains:
Мetronidazole – 50 mg.
Pharmacological properties:
Metronidazole belongs to the group of nitroimidazoles and has an antiprotozoic and bactericidal effect. It is excreted after 48 hours, mainly with urine.
Application:
All types of animals for treatment and prevention of dysentery, colibacillosis, neumeriosis, balance diasis, salmonellosis, enteritis, septicaemia, after surgical complications, the drug is designed to treat animals with diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to metronidazole (Balantidiosis in pigs, trichomonosis in cows and bulls, giardiasis and anaerobic infection in small pets – dogs and cats).
Dosage:
Intramuscularly in the dose:
All kinds of animals (cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, horses):
1 ml per 22 lb (10 kg) live weight in dysentery caused by Treponema spp;
2 ml per 22lb (10 kg) body weight in case of dysentery with Enterotoxaemia anaerobica suum and Balantidiosis suis;
The drug is administered once a day before the symptoms disappear (usually 1-2 injections are sufficient).
Dogs and cats are given 1.0-1.5 ml/ 22 lb(10 kg) of body weight at intervals of 18-24 hours. In the treatment of anaerobic infections, the dosage of the preparation can be increased up to 2.0-2.5 ml/ 22 lb (10 kg) of body weight of the animal.
Rabbits and nutrients are given with water in a dose of 0.4-0.5 ml per 2.2lb (1 kg) of body weight for 2-3 days.
Birds are given 5-6 ml per 1 liter of water for 10 days.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to metranidazole.
Cautions:
Do not use at the same time with alcoholic beverages in the first third of pregnancy.
Storage:
Dry, dark place at a temperature of 40-77F (5 to 25 ° C).
