Pharmacological properties:

Gentamicin belongs to the aminoglycosides group. It is active with respect to Gram-negative and Gram-positive microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp. Shigella spp., Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella spp., some species of Proteus spp. and Serratia spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Staphylococcus aureus, Serpulina hyodysenteriae, Mycoplasma spp. Gentamicin acts on sensitive cells in several directions: influence on the integrity of the cytoplasmic membrane, influence on the metabolism of RNA; suppression of protein synthesis at the level of zOS ribosomal subunit.

 

 

Application:

Treatment of cattle, calves, sheep, goats and pigs for digestive and respiratory diseases caused by gentamicin-sensitive microorganisms.

 

 

Dosage:

Intramuscularly in dose – 1 ml of the preparation for 44-88 lb (20-40 kg) body weight. animal (5-10 mg gentamycin for 2.2 lb (1 kg) body weight),
Twice a day for 3 days.

 

 

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to gentamicin or any filler.

Do not use animals with impaired kidney function, hearing and balance. Do not use with bacteriostatic, nephrotoxic, ottoxic drugs or neuromuscular blockers. Do not use with other aminoglycosides. Do not administer intravenously with calcium preparations. Do not use with iron and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

 

 

Cautions:

Killing animals for meat is allowed 7 days after the last application of the drug. Milk consumption for food is allowed after 3 days after the last use of the preparation. Meat and milk received before this date are disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the opinion of the veterinary surgeon.

 

 

Storage:

Dark place inaccessible to children at temperatures ranging from 60-777F (+ 15 ° C to + 25 ° C).

Shelf life – 3 years from the date of manufacture.
