Composition:

1 ml of the preparation contains:

Coffeine – 87.4 mg;

Natrium Benzoate – 112.6 mg;

 

 

Pharmacological properties:

Caffeine sodium benzoate 20% solution for injection has an excitatory effect on the central nervous system of animals. It enhances and regulates excitation processes in the cortex, enhances positive conditioned reflexes and increases motor activity. The stimulating effect of caffeine leads to increased physical performance, reduced fatigue and sleepiness. The effect of the drug depends on the dose, as well as the type of higher nervous activity of animals. Large doses of the preparation may lead to the depletion of nerve cells. Under the influence of the drug increases heart activity, diuresis, increased gas exchange, increased water and nitrogen exchange.

 

 

Application:

Caffeine benzoate sodium 20% solution for injection is used to excite the central nervous system with poisons (drugs, sleeping pills), fatigue, muscle weakness in various diseases.

Appoint the drug to excite the cardiovascular system in the weakness of heart activity, reduced excitability and conduction in the heart, shock states. It is used in chronic myocarditis, myodystrophy, chronic myodegeneration, as a vasodilator in spasms of blood vessels of the brain, heart.

The drug is used to excite the respiratory center in its oppression and weakening of breathing, with spastic state of muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, with a paresis in cows, fatigue, various diseases of infectious and toxic origin.

 

 

Dosage:

The drug is used for subcutaneous injections in doses (in ml per animal):

for horses, cattle – 10-25ml;

pigs, sheep, goats – 2-7ml;

for dogs – 0.5-1.5ml;

cats – 0,2-0,5ml.

Dose volume and duration of application depend on animal weight and disease course. If necessary, the drug may be administered 2-3 times at 7-hour intervals.
