Description

Structure:

1 ml of the drug contains

the active substance:

Albendazole   – 75 mg.

 

Pharmacological properties:

The active substance of the drug – albendazole – methyl [5 – (propylsulfanyl) -1n-benzimidazol-2-yl] carbamate, belongs to the benzimidazole group. Albendazole inhibits protein (tubular) synthesis, as a result of which the intake and intracellular transportation of nutrients and the exchange of adenosine triphosphoric acid and glucose are disrupted. Mitochondrial reactions are reduced through inhibition of fumarate reductase, which causes a decrease in the amount of glycogen and the death of parasites from depletion.

Albendazole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic, effective against sexually mature forms of trematodes ( Fasciola hepatica  and  Dicrocoelium lanceatum ), nematodes parasitizing in the digestive canal and lungs ( Bunostomum spp., Cooperia spp., Dictyocaulidae spp., Haemon. Ostertagia spp., Strongyloides spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Trichuris spp . Etc.), and some types of cestodes ( Avitellina centripumctata, Moniezia expansa, Moniezia benedeni, Thysaniezia giardi ).

 

 

Application:

Deworming of cattle, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, fur animals, poultry with nematodes (mature and immature forms), some types of cestodes and trematodes.

 

 

Cattle :  nematodes, trematodes, cestodes.

Sheep, goats :  nematodes, trematodes, cestodes.

Pigs :  nematodes.

Horses and other one-hoofed animals : nematodes, cestodes.

Dogs, cats, fur animals : nematodes, trematodes, cestodes.

Hens:  nematodes.

 

 

Dosage:

The drug is given to animals individually in the doses indicated in the table, once at the beginning of morning feeding with water.

     * with esophagostomiasis and trichurosis 12-24 hours after the drug is given, repeated treatment with a similar dose of the drug is necessary.

For ruminants, the dose of the drug is poured into a rubber or plastic bottle, which is preliminarily filled into two-thirds of the volume with warm water. The mixture is shaken and forcibly poured into the cattle. For other types of animals, the dose of the drug is mixed with wet food (hash). If necessary, treatment of fascioliasis in ruminants, the use of the drug is carried out at any time of the year. Given that albendazole is ineffective against fasciol larvae, the first prophylactic deworming is carried out 2-2.5 months after the end of the grazing period, and the second 10-15 days before going to the pasture.

 

 

Contraindications:

Do not use for females during the first 4-6 weeks after their insemination.

 

 

Warnings:

Slaughter of cattle, sheep and goats for meat is allowed after 7 days, pigs – after 10 days, poultry – 2 days after the last use of the drug; the use of pigs’ internal organs (liver, lungs, heart) is allowed after 35 days, ruminants and poultry – after 20 days, milk consumption – 2 days after the last use of the drug.

 

 

Release form:

The drug is Packed in glass or polypropylene bottles of 100 ml.

 

 

Storage:

A dry, dark place inaccessible to children at temperatures from 32-85F  (0 ° C to 30 ° C).

Do not store together with food, drinks, animal feed.

 

 

Shelf life  – 3 years from the date of manufacture.
