Description
Sending a parcel with a veterinary product through the international post – the average is 10-14 days (on the delivery time may affect different factors – long processing at the customs terminal, long national holidays, the remoteness of your address, etc.).
But we will let you know the parcel’s track number in a special letter – by means of which – you will be able to see the route of the parcel – no problem.
Description:
Homogeneous powder of white or light yellow colour, after dissolution – light yellow solution with opalescence.
Composition:
1 bottle contains active substances:
Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride – 1000 mg;
Сolistine sulfate – 10 000 000 IU.
Pharmacological properties:
A complex preparation, the therapeutic effect of which is due to the synergistic effect of the active components of the preparation: ciprofloxacin and colistine sulfate.
Ciprofloxacin belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones. The mechanism of action of ciprofloxacin consists in the inhibition of bacterial DNA-girase, which prevents the process of DNA replication, which violates the integrity of the membrane of the bacterial cell, which leads to its death. Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride quickly eliminates R-plasmids, which prevents the development of resistance of microorganisms to the drug.
The preparation is active against Gram-negative and Gram-positive microorganisms, especially against E.coli, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Serratia spp., Campylobacter spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Yersinia spp.., Vibrio spp., Aeromonas spp., Haemophilus spp., Brucella spp., Staphylococcus spp. (including penicillinase producing strains and methicillin-resistant strains), Mycoplasma spp., Mycobacterium spp., Chlamydia spp.
When administered orally, ciprofloxacin is rapidly absorbed from the digestive canal, getting into the blood, penetrating into all organs and tissues of the body, reaching its maximum concentration after 1-2 hours, the therapeutic concentration is maintained for 24 hours. Ciprofloxacin is excreted from the body of an animal with urine and bile.
Colistine sulfate is an antibiotic of a group of polymixins, which is synthesized by the aerobic spore-forming bacillus polymyxa stick. Colistine sulfate acts bactericidally on Gram-negative bacteria (E.coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Bordetella spp.).
The sulfate colistine binds to the phospholipids of the cytoplasmic membrane and increases its permeability to both intra- and extracellular components, which leads to the destruction of the bacteria cell.
After oral application of colistin, sulfate is absorbed to a small extent from the digestive canal. In contrast to low concentrations of colistin sulfate in serum and tissues, high and constant concentrations are always present in different parts of the digestive tract. Colistin sulfate is excreted from the body of an animal with faeces.
Application:
The drug is used for therapeutic purposes in dogs and cats in case of acute and chronic bacterial infections, whose pathogens are sensitive to ciprofloxacin and colistine (infections of the digestive tract, respiratory organs, biliary tract, urogenital system, skin and soft tissue, eyes and ears, bones and joints); and in case of secondary infections against the background of viral diseases.
Dosage:
Before applying the powder preparation prepare a solution. For this purpose, pour 100 ml of drinking water at room temperature (up to the mark) into a bottle of powder and shake intensively until the powder is completely dissolved.
The necessary amount of the resulting solution is taken with a dosing syringe.
The resulting solution is used orally to dogs and cats in doses:
1 ml per 2.2lb (1 kg) of animal body weight once a day.
The course of treatment – 3-5 days.
Before each next application the bottle is intensively shaken.
Cautions:
Not recommended for use:
puppies and kittens before the end of their growth period due to the risk of cartilage damage;
animals with pronounced cartilage tissue development disorders;
for lesions of the nervous system, which are accompanied by convulsions;
females during pregnancy and lactation.
Do not use in case of increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
Do not use together with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics of macrolide group, tetracycline and chloramphenicol.
Form of release:
polymeric 1000 grams
Storage:
Shelf life – 3 years.
