An oily liquid of colorless to light yellow color.
COMPOSITION
1 ml of the product contains
active ingredient:
Ciprofloxacin – 100 mg
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Ciprofloxacin, an antibiotic of fluoroquinolone group, is the active ingredient of the drug. Ciprofloxacin is active against Gram-negative and Gram-positive microorganisms, especially E. coli, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Serratia spp., Camphylobacter spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Yersinia spp., Vibrio spp., Aeromonas spp, Brucella spp., Chlamydia trachomatis, Staphylococcus spp. and other opportunistic microorganisms susceptible to the drug (including penicillinase-producing and methicillin-resistant strains), Mycoplasma spp., Mycobacterium spp.
Mechanism of the drug action is inhibition of bacterial DNA-gyrase (topoisomers ΙΙ), thus preventing the process of DNA spiralization and synthesis.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Treatment of calves, lambs, goats (from birth to 8 weeks of age), pigs, poultry, dogs, cats with respiratory tract, digestive tract and urogenital system diseases caused by ciprofloxacin-sensitive microorganisms.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGES
Frequency of use – 1-2 times a day, depending on the severity of the disease. The course of treatment is 3-5 days.
Animals
Calves, lambs, goats (up to 8 weeks of age), pigs
0.5-1.0 ml per 22lb (10 kg) of body weight.
Dogs, cats
0.25 ml per 22lb (10 kg) live weight
poultry (chickens, turkeys, etc.)
0.5-1.0 ml per 1 liter of drinking water
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin.
Do not use in animals with impaired renal and hepatic function.
Do not use simultaneously with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Do not use simultaneously with tetracyclines, macrolides, lincosamides, chloramphenicols.
Do not use for treatment of horses.
Do not use in dogs of small breeds up to 8 months of age, in large breeds up to 18 months of age, in cats up to 8 months of age due to negative effect on formation of bone tissue.
Do not treat animals with signs of central nervous system diseases.
The drug is not recommended for pregnant sows. The drug should only be used if it is evident that the effect of application exceeds the possible negative effects.
CAUTION
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 7 days (poultry), 14 days (pigs) after the last drug administration. Any meat obtained before the specified period shall be utilized or fed to non-productive animals depending on the opinion of a veterinarian.
STORAGE
Store the drug in original containers protected from light in dry unopened packages at temperatures not exceeding +25°C (List B).
