The line-up:

1 gram of the preparation contains

the active substance

Metronidazole – 250 mg.

Pharmacological action:

Synthetic antimicrobial and antiprotease agents derived from 5-nitroimidazole. The drug has a bactericidal effect on microorganisms, enzyme systems of which can restore nitro groups. Metronidazole disrupts DNA replication and protein synthesis in the microbial cell by inhibiting tissue respiration; it easily penetrates the cells of sensitive microorganisms by binding to DNA and disrupts the replication process.
The drug is active against Trichomonas spp., Gardnerella spp., Giardia spp., Entamoeba histolytica, Balantidium coli, Lamblia spp, as well as obligate anaerobes Bacteroides spp., Helicobacter pylori, Fusobacterium spp., Veillonela spp., Eubacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Prevotella spp., Peptococcus spp., Peptostreptococcus spp.

Dose:

The drug is used inside with feed.

In case of cattle trichomoniasis: twice a day, for 3-4 days in a dose of 0.05 grams / 2.2 lb (1 kg) of body weight. twice a day in several courses for 3-5 days.

Pigs: body weight up to 88 lb (40 kg) in a dose of 1.25 grams, over 88 lb (40 kg) – 2.5 grams per animal.

Small pets with anaerobic-aerobic infection, gastroenteritis: 0.025-0.05 g/ 2.2 lb (1 kg) body weight 2-3 times a day for 5-7 days.

Bird with histomonosis: for preventive purposes 2.5 grams / 2.2 lb (1 kg) feed, with therapeutic – 7.5 grams / 2.2 lb (1 kg) feed for 9 days.

Dogs: 15-25 mg / 2.2lb (1kg) yelled at 12 hour intervals;

In protozoic infections, higher doses should be used – 25-30 mg / 2.2lb (1kg) oral at 12-hour intervals.

Cats: 8-10 mg / 2.2lb (1kg) oral at 12-hour intervals.

In protozoic infections, higher doses of 25-30 mg / 2.2lb (1kg) oral at 12-hour intervals should be used.

Trichomoniasis is a zoanthroponotic protozoic disease, i.e. a pathology to which both animals and humans are susceptible. The pathogen belongs to the genus Trichomonos large unicellular organisms of pear-shaped form, are able to move in space with the help of flagellates and undulating membrane. Trichomonads of large organisms reach a diameter of up to 40 µm. In humans, animals and birds are parasitized in the mouth, nasopharynx, intestines, often external male and female genitalia. The causative agent of trichomoniasis is sensitive to 25% metronidazole and metronidazole-based drugs.

Localization of trichomonads in animals, by species:

– Cattle – sexual organs (pathogenic form), blind and colon loops (a nonpathogenic form of trichomonads);

– Pigs – Gastrointestinal tract and nasal cavity, external genitalia;

– Horses – sexual organs, gastrointestinal tract;

– Birds (chickens, guinea fowls, turkeys, pigeons) – different parts of the gastrointestinal tract (oral cavity and blind intestines).

Reproduce in simple or, less often, multiple divisions. Not all trichomonads have pathogenic properties.

BALTIDIOSIS OF PIGS

Balantidiosis is a pathogenic infusion pathogen. Piglets suffer from piglets. It is characterized by the lesion of the thick section, ulcers on the walls of the intestine, profuse diarrhea, thirst, vomiting, anemia. The disease often ends with the death of young animals. Other animal species are also sensitive to balance diasis: calves, lambs, adult sheep, rabbits, dogs

Metrodinazole is effective in the treatment of:

anaerobic infections;
Trichomonas (parasites);
intestinal giardia;
inflammatory bowel disease;
sepsis.
To treat Giardia
For anaerobic infectious meningitis
Dosing for purulent cholangitis
In the treatment of plasmacytic/lymphocytic enteritis in dogs

In amebiasis, balantidiosis in dogs
Treatment of hepatic encephalopathy
Lambliasis (Giardia)
Other parasites
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
Oral and dental infections
Other bacterial infections that cause diarrhea or sepsis
Giardia is a microscopic parasite that lives in a dog’s intestines.
